Why You Should Upgrade From Your Current Hot Tub

Nov 7

Most hot tubs are designed to last for long periods of time. So why would you want to switch to a new model now? There are many reasons for this and the first is that every year a new and improved model in terms of the usability of the system comes out.

Also there are improvements in jets efficiency every year and if you are already in a hot tub enjoying the benefits of jets you can imagine how much better your experience with the updates and super improved options.

Looks also matter. There's always a reason to change your spa because you've changed your lifestyle or interior or exterior style where the tub is located. There's no reason to have a nice room that looks modern and nice just to have an old-fashioned hot tub around the corner. Adding a hot tub to a room should always serve to enhance the room, not to distract from it. That means if your style has changed, why not change your spa to keep the improvements going?

Every year when new models are introduced, it pays to consider the ease of maintaining your hot tub. Where tubs were mostly made of wood 30 years ago, they were much more difficult to clean and if the wood wasn't repainted every year, they would rot at the end of the exposure to the elements and products. Keeping the spa clean and tidy was important and still is. If you can't do it yourself, you might look at hiring company like Buffalo Hot Tub Repair to do the work for you.

Probably the best reason to upgrade your hot tub is that when new models are introduced, some form of energy conservation and efficiency has almost always been addressed and improved. If you find that keeping the hot tub at a constant temperature becomes more and more expensive over the years, it is certainly time to examine the cost savings versus the cost of upgrading and see if upgrading makes the most sense.

This article is not meant to say that there is a new and improved hot tub model every year that you should run out and buy a new one. Thatt would be pretty stupid and it would be like trying to keep up with computer technology so you are always sure that you have the latest best computer on the market. There's really no way to keep up with the pace, but with a hot tub they will last for years and if you find yourself spending more money on repairs than you should, it's time to swap out for a newer version.

Also note that most retailers have a replacement deal that they can use to remove your old hot tub and not have to worry about getting rid of it. It's a great way to make you feel less guilty about trading when you are not responsible for what you do with the old spa. You really can't go wrong with updating your tub every 10, 15 years or so.
